Mönchwohnheim

The former Wilhelm – Weskamp House, a residential and commercial building was home , originally, on behalf of the Catholic Church, a dormitory for students of all faiths.
The building was designed by Heinz and Rudolf Grosse architects and is now a listed building .The commercial building, situated on the Kantstrasse, is remarkable by its striking design. The building on the corner is rounded, and the ground vibrates a canopy far above the sidewalk beyond. The colored glazed tiles set special accents. A truly beautiful example of architecture of the ’50s in Berlin, which can be associated with the so-called kidney table aesthetics .
