urban stories – urban interiors – urban style

Sandra Siewert and Dirk Berger are the creative team behind the Berlin label s.wert design – designers and storytellers alike. “We are fascinated by the built environment, where we discover buildings that tell a story, special places and forgotten architecture. This is the inspiration for our designs, which all embody an urban narrative.”

urban designs

If you thought that pattern was just pattern, look again, and look more closely - whole worlds will be revealed.

The graphics and prints draw on elements of city architecture. Detached from their urban surrounding, abstracted and rearranged, they unfold a new aesthetic - between abstraction and reality. These purist designs have a high recognition value, provoking an emotive response in the viewer.
Beyond their attractive decorative value, when you take a closer look, our designs reveal a subtext, telling stories about the city and its inhabitants. Often the title hints at its underlying meaning.

urban products

A piece of the city in your home

Our urban graphics take on a variety of forms: printed, knitted and woven textiles, and paper products. From cushions featuring bygone architectural icons, to drinking glasses with scratches typical of subway graffiti – every one of our items is a subtle declaration of love for the city. All items are produced in Germany. Besides our own products, we also create textiles for fashion designers. But that’s another story.
